I thought I would post a little Freebie for you. It was a prize for getting the first line at the GDS iNSD Bingo game we played last week. It's a 3-D Alpha and you can download it here.

I also combined it with the kit by Marshmella Designs called CHEERY (preview posted below) to create a page for the May Scraplift Challenge at GDS.

With all the server issues going on this week with a lot of sites, I'm happy to say that Scrappity-Doo-Dah is up and running now and I'm awaiting my first assignment! Can't wait. Now I must go help my kids pack. They both bought condos at the same time, and wouldn't you know it, they're both moving this weekend. Won't get much scrapping done this weekend! I suppose it's just as well, I'm still a little depressed that our Vancouver Canucks got bounced from the playoffs. Not a good series at all. Work will help! Have a great weekend everyone. The sun is shining and bright here - the garden's beginning to look pretty darn good, but there's still work to be done!

Internet Issues

It's too bad there's so many people out there with nothing to do and figure it's their mission to hack sites. Who raises these kind of people? A lot of sites are down right now and have been since at least yesterday. I know I've tried accessing a few sites Scrappity-Doo-Dah, DigiscrapAddicts, a few blog widget sites and they call come up with "The page you're looking for wasn't found." What a drag! It must drive these site owners crazy! Anyway, hopefully the host server they're using is able to fix everything soon and these sites don't lose too much business.

I just recently entered a contest at Scrappity-Doo-Dah and was chosen as one of their site CTs. But of course, because theirs is one of the sites being affected by this latest "hacker" issue, I can't get going with them and communication is pretty much at a standstill. Anyway, I'm SO excited to be part of another team. I've had fun at GDS and the people there I've gotten to know are so family-friendly!

It was a three-week contest and for two of the three mini kits, we had to create two pages. That can stretch you a bit when you're limited to papers and elements in a mini kit. You couldn't add any outside elements so it tested your creativity. Here are some of the pages I created from the mini kits they provided for the contest:

I also just recently volunteered to do some designing for a woman who is putting together a charity kit for some children that she and a few of her acquaintances are adopting from Haiti. It sounds like it has been a long process for them, but hopefully things will happen soon and these children will be welcomed to some loving families. There will be two kits - one issuing at the end of May and the second kit at the end of June. When I know the store(s) the kit will be sold at, I will post it here.

Well off to do some gardening before the BIG hockey game tonight. Canucks have to beat the Blackhawks in order to extend the series to a seventh game. Come on boys! We've got a few injuries on our defence, so our young guys have to step it up tonight! Whoohoo! Go LOU!

Catching up and Whoot Whoot, it's National Scrapbooking Day this weekend!

Boy, when you wait too long, you have a lot of catching up to do on a blog. How does everyone do it? And I can type fast too!

I've been working on a couple of kits the last couple of weeks. It's been using up all of my spare time. I recently was picked to be on Julie Marie Designs' (at Gotta Pixel) Creative Team. Here are a couple of her kits and the pages I have made for her.

I've also entered a contest to be a Creative Team Member at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. As of this posting, I could not get on their website. There seems to be quite a few like that today. The economy must be on the rebound because I think there's a lot of shoppers out there! I'll post a link to their site when it becomes available again.

With the recent addition of more Supreme Team Members at GDS there's lots of fun happenings and challenges. I'm hosting the Scraplift Challenge there and here's what I did. I also did pages for the Photo Challenge, Lyrical Challenge and Journaling Challenge.

I've been a follower of Scrap Orchard since it's inception. There were a lot of designers I was following and I guess some of them got together and created the site. It made me quite happy because I could visit one site instead of hopping around the whole bunch. Here's some of the pages I've created from some of their kits this past month:

Wow, that's a full posting. Lastly, I have to give a big shout-out to my Vancouver Canucks! They've made it to round 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals and start their first game in Chicago Saturday. I get more nervous with every game and every round! But I wouldn't miss it for the world. I schedule everything around the games!
