First off, I want to send a special shut-out to you all and pray you are all safe amidst what is becoming this world-wide pandemic we are starting to go through.
In my province of British Columbia (we have 10 and 3 territories in Canada), we have 103
cases. Four have passed. Most of us are really working on flattening the
curve. I believe we jumped on this fairly quickly, but is it enough?
I know some countries have not. Only time will tell.
They've closed all schools (we started Spring Break this week - timely really) and they
will remain closed indefinitely. All non-essential businesses are now
closed - all community pools, libraries, programs, restaurants and bars
and now closed as of today and all non-emergency surgeries have been
cancelled at all hospitals (amongst much more). Our Prime Minister just recently spoke (he is doing daily morning speeches now). All airports are closed with the exception of
Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Montreal. No international people are
allowed in or allowed to cross the border by land, with the exception of
Americans, which is odd to me as we sit two hours north of where the
first really bad outbreak started near Seattle.
And unfortunately, we
have our share of hoarders here too. My son works at a major grocery
store and he's ready to do a "Stone Cold Stunner or PowerBomb" to someone
(these are wrestling terms - to my chagrin - he's a fan!) He's
physically and mentally exhausted and some people are personally blaming
him for being out of certain kinds of produce (he works in the produce
dept.). Thank goodness, they're starting to limit people on certain
products. I am not going to be one of "them". I have enough to keep me going for weeks. We're assured the product lines for necessities will not diminish and I'm going to believe them.
Please stay safe everyone, enjoy your families, do things you haven't
done in a long time. We will get through this, let's remember it's not about
individuals, it's about the world as a whole. No time in history has
made this so very true as to what's unfolding right now.
So if you are stuck inside for a while, what better time is it to do a little scrapping. It could be a great stress reliever for you. I have some great deals - today only - in both my stores.
(Please excuse the low-resolution images in this post - I had to grab them quicky from my store and grabbed the little ones. Trust me - they are clear and crisp in the kits!)
